• practice and lesson activity, captions, photos, and journal posts
• tags, guest names, follows, reactions, and sharing choices

A shared round can appear in the Activity of golfers tagged in it. Where a tagged golfer has a recorded score, their Activity shows their score for that round.

4. Location-related data

• device location when you choose to allow it
• country and search location you provide
• search inputs used to find clubs or coaches

This helps us show and rank relevant venues near you. We do not continuously track your location, and you can search manually if you do not grant location access.

5. Usage and technical data

• IP address
• device type and operating system
• browser type
• pages visited and interactions

This helps us operate, secure, and improve the Service.

How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

Operate the Service

• create and manage your account
• process bookings and payments
• save and resume live rounds and calculate scorecard results
• show your journal, profile, tags, reactions, and community activity

Enable bookings with Providers

• share necessary booking details with the club or coach
• for lessons booked through Golfa, coaches see your name and booking details only, not your email address unless required

Personalise your experience

• show relevant clubs and coaches based on location or activity
• tailor content and recommendations

Respect your sharing choices

• activity set to only you is not shown in community feeds
• shared activity is shown to the audience selected when it is posted
• public posts may be visible to people without a Golfa account
• you can edit or delete your own journal and finished-round posts

Improve the platform

• analyse usage patterns
• fix bugs and performance issues
• develop new features

Communicate with you

• booking confirmations and updates
• important service messages
• support responses

Marketing (where you choose)

• send updates, offers, or product news
• you can opt out at any time

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Golf clubs and coaches (Providers)

• to fulfil your booking
• limited to essential details (e.g. name and booking info)
• email addresses are not shared with coaches unless required

Other golfers and public visitors

We display profile and golf activity information according to the audience you select. Shared content may include your name, profile photo, course, score, caption, media, tagged players, team result, and reactions. Only add a guest or tag another person where you have permission.
