Cancellations

When a session cannot go ahead, record it clearly.

Cancelling in Golfa keeps your diary accurate and triggers the right refund behaviour for card payments.

Cancel a booking

  1. Open Bookings and tap the lesson.
  2. In the edit booking sheet, choose Cancel (or equivalent cancel action).
  3. Confirm. The booking moves to cancelled status and frees the slot on your calendar.

Refunds

  • Card payments — Refunds follow your stated policy and Stripe rules; golfers may receive automatic refunds when you cancel according to platform rules.
  • Pay at venue — No lesson charge was taken online; only the booking fee may apply. Clarify with the golfer directly.

No-shows

  1. If the golfer does not arrive, cancel or mark the booking according to your policy (use cancel if the slot should not count as taught).
  2. Note the outcome in Messages or your own records if you chase fees offline.

Communicate policy upfront

  1. Add cancellation terms to lesson descriptions on your profile or in messages at booking time.
  2. Apply the same rules for direct and marketplace golfers to avoid disputes.

Tips

  • Cancel as soon as you know weather or illness will stop play so the golfer can rebook elsewhere.
  • Check Bookings list filters or past view to review cancelled lessons for your records.
