Rules and buffers

Avoid back-to-back chaos with buffers and travel realism.

Booking rules and realistic hours prevent double-bookings and rushed sessions.

Limit how far ahead golfers book

  1. CoachingBooking settings.
  2. Set availability window (months ahead) — for example 2 or 3 months for a rolling diary.
  3. Save. Golfers cannot book beyond that window.

Minimum notice

  1. In Booking settings, set lead time (hours before lesson start).
  2. Example: 24 hours means a golfer cannot book a slot starting in the next 24 hours.
  3. Save. Useful if you need prep time or travel between venues.

Align lesson length with open hours

  1. Review Lessons durations you sell (30, 60, 90 minutes).
  2. Open Coaching hours and ensure each open period is at least as long as your longest lesson.
  3. If you need travel between range and course, block the gap in Booking settings or shorten hours on days you move venues.

Buffers in practice

Golfa does not always add automatic gaps between lessons — plan padding by:

  • Ending coaching hours slightly before you must leave, or
  • Blocking the slot after a lesson in Bookings when you need turnover time.

Tips

  • Shorter minimum notice suits range coaches; on-course coaches often want 48 hours.
  • Check Bookings weekly for stray blocks left from old holidays.
